liked how Bambi's father took him in when his mother died.
Even though at the beginning of the movie he only gave Bambi a passing nod that was no doubt that as the Prince of the forest
he sired many fawns with many does and therefore had to share his attention to all.
But when she died he manned up (or should I say 'Bucked-up') and took direct responsibility for his son.
And while he was more of a tough-love parent than the mother he shaped Bambi into a fine Buck who stepped up at the end to be the new Prince.
